Partnership Against Domestic Violence
PADV supports women and their families in their efforts to live violence free lives. Partnership Against Domestic Violence (formerly the Council on Battered Women) began as an all-volunteer agency in 1975. The organization incorporated in 1977. Today the agency has over 30 full and part-time staff with an administrative office in downtown Atlanta and two 24-hour emergency shelters in Fulton and Gwinnett Counties . Youth Ensemble of Atlanta

Congratulations to YEA, winner of the Coming Up Taller Award from the President's Committee on the Arts & Humanities. In addition, we congratulate Debi Barber, Executive Director of the organization for being named one of Atlanta's Top 100 Black Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League. Debi is the best!

Yvonne Bryant Johnson is former board president of the Youth Ensemble of Atlanta. Founded in 1990, The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA) is Atlanta 's only African American youth theatre company. Since its inception, YEA has provided the young people of metro Atlanta with free training in the performing arts as well as the opportunity to create original, issue-based musical dramas.
